Union Park gathered 40+ endowments and foundations to participate in a peer benchmarking survey that resulted in a report including the following insights:

1. 1. Staffing & Recruitment: Benchmarking optimal staffing levels based on assets under management (AUM), investment complexity, line items, and pools of capital, while analyzing recruitment trends such as time-to-hire from job posting to start date and the emergence of newly created roles across investment offices.

2. 2. Division of Duties: Best-practice approaches to allocating responsibilities across operations, finance, and investment teams.

3. 3. Outsourcing vs. In-House: Evaluation of functions best suited for outsourcing, technology-driven automation, or internal execution.

4. 4. Roles & Responsibilities: Clear role definitions and responsibility mapping from analyst through Chief Operating Officer, including trends in credentials, education, and professional qualifications.

Participants completed a questionnaire in mid-November and each participant received a report in December that included the survey results, key takeaways, and survey highlights.  Union Park hosted a 1-hour webinar to present results and insights from the survey to the participants.
